This trail is named after Eva Hobbs – an active early member of the Revelstoke Mountaineering Club. The trail skirts and crosses meadows, which are carpeted in August with subalpine wildflowers. Sue McCrae’s dad built the fire lookout and Don McCrae’s dad with Mr. Rutherford built the old ski lodge that was a beautiful building that was part of ski histoy in Revelstoke.
I would like to have sherpa teams of four people/ team and 5 teams for the TrailRider event. What I need from you all is confirmation that you will take part or not. I need to plan this trip well for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Please respond by June 23 with ideas and confirmation that way I can find recruitments.
If you can’t make it this time that is OK, we can plan another trip.
I will update everyone come June 24.
Snow may be a limiting factor on high elevation trails, but there are many lower trails to choose from. I will talk with the Parks people friday and will let you all know what’s up.
